About Us
In 1985 I looked for a traditional nine-month preschool program for my daughter and found there were very few choices. I visited one, Little Tigers Preschool, which I really liked. I found caring and loving staff implementing a developmentally appropriate program. I enrolled my daughter and she had a great experience! I decided to put my background in Child Development to work and joined the staff as a teacher. Shortly thereafter, an opportunity presented itself and I purchased the business and have been the licensed Director ever since.
Over the years we have seen many changes in the early childhood education environment, and we had so many requests for a full time, 12-month preschool program in addition to our traditional model that we expanded and opened an additional program.
More requests prompted us to offer a kindergarten wrap-around program as well as a before and after school program for children and families in the Pickerington school district. This development was followed up with our excellent toddler program. Our programs are truly designed to help each child have a positive school experience and develop a lifelong love of learning.
All these programs are focused on providing a safe, nurturing and developmentally appropriate learning environment for children in our community as well as offering parents the opportunity to entrust their child’s care to a loving and caring staff of dedicated early childhood professionals. Our staff truly makes Little Tigers a successful program over 37+ years of high-quality early childhood education.
Our staff participates in professional continuing education. This learning is designed to refine their classroom skills as well as to keep up to date with the latest research on how education, best learning practices and staff instruction facilitate children’s best learning styles in order to design and implement appropriate and fun educational activities.
We participate in the State of Ohio’s quality initiative, Step Up to Quality, and we are proud to be a THREE STAR center.
